My Word

This week has been a whirlwind....so busy. Work is crappy but i've managed to have something to do every day after work. Drinks here, school there, yoga there. Dude I'm beat....and that is why I took the whole day off yesterday...I couldn't think. It was just too much using my brain and lacking sleep etc. Today I had a loverly after noon with Mr. Ly. Basically we just relaxed and watched a movie over Thai food. Then we were joined by our third mate and basically talked until I had to come home. It was nice, I like having uncomplicated friends.

This week is going to be less packed by choice. I'm watching the dog because Sister Sister is on vacation. She's cute and all, but she puts a dent in my social calendar.Two days out of seven without plans isn't going to kill me right? Plus I learned my lesson from this week...sometimes I just have to be home.

It's been an interesting week for me...full of different activities but even better..full of realizations. In a way the road has been cleared and I'm ready to move forward. Best of all, my tolerance for bullshit has been lowered significantly. You shan't take it personal, but if you are bullshitting, I'm not putting up with it.

This week I'm booked solid already, and I like that because life shouldn't be so complicated that people can't get together. So together I will get. I'm very excited and looking forward to the future, I know only good things will come to me now. The weight has been lifted of my shoulders. But my shoulders are sore, sore because of the yoga classes I've been indulging in. I've moved up several levels because again the beginner classes are boring for me. Not a challenge, so I'm yoga-ing with more experienced people which, again, I love.

Sunday Sunday

Today has been such a relaxing day. Even though today was a very nice day I decided to stay home and relax. Only did a few house chores and really just laid on the couch for the most part napping. This week I pretty much had some sort of plan every day after work. Meeting with old friends and new and the new school semester is on. I have a feeling this semester is going to be tougher than the others just based on the first day. Yesterday BBF left to go back to Dallas, since the weather was so sucky it wasn't a big deal for her flight to take off as far as I understand it. She made it home safely which is the important part. Last night I decided to hang out with the girls at the last minute...all plans to go out were quickly washed out by the rain but instead we played TABOO at the hostess' apartment in Astoria....It was very very pleasant. Wine, cheese, Thai food and 5 girls screaming clues at each other makes for a good Saturday night. Plus it's close to home...

Anyway, I don't know what this week has in store for me but I'm quite looking forward to it...Hope you all have a good week as well......

Labor Day has Passed

For me, Labor Day was filled with home improvements and reflection. Which means that I'm now drained. I actually made it to work today. I surprised myself...I was so tired yesterday I really thought I wasn't going to make it. After spending the day with BBF being a tourist in my own city, I hit the sack early and actually slept. I think that's what allowed me to be somewhat coherent today.

So back to the home improvements. I'm going to call it more like the continuation of the Great Purge of 2008. This are coming along and neatly falling into place. I'm glad I did this now because later this week I start school. I can't say i'm excited but I welcome the chance to be a bit more outside my head. These days that's about the only place I go...is in my head. That's part of the whole reflection thing. I'll be fine in no time though.
