This weekend was again a success. I explored 2 new things on Saturday. First up Septuagesimo Uno. The smallest park in New York City, at just .04 acres it sits on the upper west side all by it's lonesome. At it truly is lonesome. It looks like the parks department doesn't keep it up well. While this is truly a hidden jem that can serve as refuge for the near by residents, the plant remain overgrown and the walkway is in distress. The benches are clean for the most park but you can't sit there too long unless you have no sense of smell. It's a shame because the first thing I think of is a massive garden, and how if i had the time I would trim the plants and put some flowers in there.
In any case, I also tried Pinkberry for the first time and I must say I was quite impressed. The taste is good and the toppings add on the the flavors but yet it doesn't feel like you just consumed too much of something bad. I would definitely go for it again. It was a light and refreshing treat on a hot summer day.
Today was a less eventful day. I went for some grooming and then passed by the great Barnes and Noble for a book purchase. I was early for my lunch date so I spent my time in the park reading the last of Valley of the Dolls. We had great weather today so I sat and enjoyed the breeze under the trees and the mist from the sprinklers on the playground. Lunch date was FABU, full of surprises, planning and pleasant laughs. I forsee many more dates lunch and otherwise in the near future.
